Baroda: Arena Animation – the pioneer and a global leader in providing hi-end animation training, recently concluded Drishti 2009, an annual animation exhibition and festival of arts.

Drishti 2009 - a five day programme, saw the participation of over 400 budding animators. The event was aimed at creating awareness about the animation industry and to highlight the growth prospects of animation as a career amongst the youth.

Mr. Anuj Kacker, Global Head, Arena Animation, said, "Drishti 2009 has helped us to cultivate interest about animation as an attractive career option for the today's generation. The event was successful in stimulating the environment of schedule bound competitiveness which the students are likely to experience while working in the animation industry. This also helped students in exposing their art to external evaluation and weaning them away from tool based to design and visualization based approach to graphic designing and digital media."

The event was concluded with the campus interviews for the students of Arena Animation. Among the corporates who attended the campus interview included some prominent names like Infotech Pvt. Ltd., Manikchand, Vitual effects, Jagtap and Amtel.

"Our campus interviews have helped our students to get placements in some of the renowned companies, making this event worthwhile for them." adds Mr. Kacker

Among the activities organized at Drishti were showcasing the videos of Oscar nominated films, glass painting, mehendi competition, rangoli competition, T-shirt painting, network gaming, logo designing competition, 2D animation competition, web competition, video competition and 3D Backgrounds.

The event also had a community commitment side to it, with Sayajigunj centre organizing a blood donation camp along with INDU Blood Bank, which saw a lot of socially committed and zealous students coming forward for voluntary donation.

The centre concluded the festival with an all day cultural event at Sanskruti Auditorium to bring together all the students and their parents from the academy.
