Cultural Programme for foreign students held at AMU

Aligarh: The Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) held a cultural programme for its foreign students here on its campus last week.

The guests of honour were the Ambassador of Indonesia to India, Lt. Gen. Andi M. Ghalib and the Ambassador of Yemen, Mustapha Ahmed Mohamed Noman.

Students from different countries like Afghanistan, Indonesia, Iran, Mauritius and Thailand presented various facets of their country in the event.

"The AMU is reviving one of its oldest traditions by bringing together students from abroad,' said Muzaffar A. Siddiqui, Advisor of foreign dtudents.

"The University also needs an "International Hostel" to accommodate 500 students along with an exclusive wing for foreign students with families,' added Siddiqui.
