Nagaon College starts IGNOU session

NAGAON, March 30: Nagaon College started the second session of the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) under its convergence programme recently. The session was formally inaugurated by college principal Dr Khorgeswar Bhuyan. However, the session had infact began from January. Dr Bhuyan in his speech said that with the starting of educational programmes under IGNOU at Nagaon College, the long felt dream of students, employees, house wives and unemployed youths to acquire higher education and professional courses will be materialised. Earlier, Nagaon colleges IGNOU centre co-ordinator Dr Sarat Borkataki in his short welcome address said the centre has launched the post graduate course in Mathematics, degree course in Social Works, diploma course in Tourism, Primary Education, certificate course in Tourism, Rural Development, Disaster Management, English teaching and Computer learning.
