ICAR All India Entrance Test for Agricultural Courses postponed

The Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) had invited applications for the April 19 All India Entrance Examination for Agricultural Undergraduate Programmes and National Talent Scholarships. The Entrance Examination for admission to undergraduate courses in state agriculture universities, scheduled for April 19, has been postponed.

The Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), which conducts the examination, today issued a brief statement which said, “(the) All India Entrance Examination for admission to UG courses scheduled to be held on Sunday, April 19, stands postponed due to unavoidable circumstances.” The new date for the examination will be announced shortly, the statement said.

Admission to 15 per cent of the seats in State agricultural universities and all seats in the Central Agricultural University, Imphal, Manipur; the National Dairy Research Institute and the Allahabad Agriculture Institute Deemed University will be based on the rank in this test. The programmes are B.Sc. courses in agriculture, horticulture, forestry, biotechnology, food science, home science, sericulture and banking and cooperation; the Bachelor of Fisheries Science course; and B.Tech. courses in agricultural engineering and dairy technology. source: http://edunews.successcds.net
