IIFT & IAM launches 4 Month Certificate program in Apparel Export Management Date:[Mar 03, 2009]

CERTIFICATE PROGRAMME IN APPAREL EXPORT MANAGEMENT (CPAEM)

Programme Objectives:

One of the constraints to India’s export growth in the apparel sector is the lack of attention to relevant skill and entrepreneurship development. The Certificate Programme in Apparel Export Management aims to fill this knowledge gap and support enhancement of India’s apparel exports.

Programme Strengths:

This programme’s strength lies in the fact that it has been tailored specifically to address the needs of the apparel sector. In addition to IIFT’s expertise in international business and foreign trade, this programme will leverage the hands-on experience at the Institute of Apparel Management (IAM).

Eligibility Criteria:

Bachelor’s degree from any recognized University with minimum 2 years of work experience.

Duration & Venue:

The total duration of the programme is of 4 months. Classes will be held on weekends partly at IIFT, New Delhi with lab sessions at IAM, Gurgaon.

Mode of Application:

• Forms can be downloaded form the site www.iift.edu or www.iamindia.in

• Forms need to be carefully filled and submitted along with a draft of Rs 300/- favouring Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, payable at New Delhi

Mode of admission:



• On the basis of Interviews to be held at IIFT Campus, New Delhi.

• Seats are reserved for SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer) and Physically Handicapped candidates as per Government of India norms.

Important Dates:
Last date for receipt of application form : 18th April 2009
Interviews : First week of May 2009

Commencement of course : Third week of May 2009

Program Fees:

The fee for the entire course will be Rs. 60,000/- (Rs. 30,000/- for SC/ST and Physically Handicapped candidate).
