MA/ M.Sc./ B.Sc. Mathematics Admissions 2009 at The Institute of Mathematics and Applications

The Institute of Mathematics and Applications, Bhubaneswar invites applications for the following programmes

1. Two year M.A/M.Sc. in Computational Finance
2. Three year BSc. (Hons) in Mathematics and Computing

Eligibility for M.A/M.Sc. in Computational Finance

A candidate seeking admission to this course should have passed Bachelors degree with Mathematics/Statistics as a core subject.

Selection:
Selection of candidates for admission shall be made on the basis
of an entrance test followed by an interview. The entrance test will be of
two hours duration. The test shall contain questions on mental ability and
mathematical reasoning

Eligibility: for BSc. (Hons) in Mathematics and Computing
A candidate seeking admission to this course must have passed higher secondary examination with Mathematics as a subject.

Selection:
Selection of candidates for admission shall be made on the basis of an entrance test of two hours duration followed by an interview conducted by the Institute. The test shall contain questions on mental ability and mathematical reasoning.

Admission test will be held on the 28th June 2009 for both the programmes at the following cities

Application Procedure

1. Collected from Website: www.iomaorissa.org

The application form may be downloaded from the website and be printed on plain A4 size paper. The filled-in application form and all required documents should be sent along with demand draft of required amount specified below(for each course a separate DD has to be sent) drawn in favour of "The Director, Institute of Mathematics and Applications, Bhubaneswar". The filled in application form and all other required documents should reach at the Director, Institute of Mathematics and Applications, Andharua, Bhubaneswar-751003. Candidates are requested to collect the prospectus for 2009-10 in person from the Institute by showing the proof of the demand draft details. The prospectus contains the detailed guidelines.
A demand draft of Rs. 350/- for M.A/M.Sc Computational Finance.
A demand draft of Rs. 250/- for B.Sc(Hons) in Mathematics and Computing.

The application forms can be obtained IN PERSON from the Institute on payment of required amount given below in shape of Demand Draft between 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
A demand draft of Rs. 350/- for M.A/M.Sc Computational Finance.
A demand draft of Rs. 250/- for B.Sc(Hons) in Mathematics and Computing

3. Obtained through Post
The application form along with prospectus can be obtained BY POST by sending a demand draft of the required amount given below (for each course a separate DD has to be sent) drawn in favour of "The Director, Institute of Mathematics and Applications, Andharua, Bhubaneswar-751003 ", along with a covering letter specifying the choice of course. The request for application should be sent, at an earliest possible date, to "The Director, Institute of Mathematics and Applications, Andharua, Bhubaneswar-751003".

A demand draft of Rs. 300/- for B.Sc(Hons) in Mathematics and Computing.

4. Important Dates.
a) Last date of issue and submission of filled in application form extended upto: 30th May 2009(Saturday)
b) Date of Entrance test: 28th June 2009
