Career counselling programme held at Chatia College

GUWAHATI, Aug 17: In a bid to sensitize young people to choose right careers and improve the standard of life, the Anchalik Committees of Biswanath Chariali and Na Duar of All Bodo Students’ Union (ABSU) had organized a day-long career and personality development programme yesterday.

Various planning methods while selecting the career and how to gather information from various sources were discussed thoroughly by the resource persons.

The programme was held at the Chatia College in Sonitpur district. The programme was inaugurated by ABSU president Pramod Boro and the programme was moderated by Sonitpur district ABSU president Chunilal Basumatary. Sangrang Brahma and JD H Basumaatry from Central Institute of Technology, Kokrajhar, and youth activist from Guwahati Ranjan K Baruah participated as the resource person in the programme.

Pramod Boro further appealed to the youths to get engaged in various constructive things to create a good society. Giving importance to farming and agricultural activities he said that a lot of economic activities can be done which will transform the individual and the society. THE SENTINEL
