Don Bosco Institute (DBI), Guwahati, is organising a national conference on the subject ‘Education for School Principals


GUWAHATI, Sept 30 – Don Bosco Institute (DBI), Guwahati, is organising a national conference on the subject ‘Education for School Principals’ from October 1 to 3 involving nationally and internationally renowned resource persons.

The inaugural address will be delivered by Prof Ashoke Kr Dutta, Director, IIM, Shillong, and the keynote address by Dr George Kallingal, Professor, University of Guam, USA. Prof Amarjyoti Choudhury, former VC, Gauhati University, will conduct the session on ‘The learning revolution’ while Pauric O’Grady of Ireland will speak on ‘Leadership skills for principals’. Jennifer Murphy, Manager, National Academy for Integration of Research, Teaching and Learning, Ireland, and Reg Chapman, Educational Consultant, UK, will speak on the subjects ‘School development programme’ and ‘People work for people – the key challenge for educational leaders’ respectively. Around 170 participants from across the country are expected to attend the conference.

The inaugural function will start at 9 am on October 1 at Don Bosco Institute, Kharghuli, Guwahati, a press release said. ASSAM TRIBUNE
