NICFS MSc in Forensic Science Course Admission Form Entrance Test

A Science graduate(B.Sc.) from any recognized University with at least 50% marks in the aggregate and with one of the  either combinations, i.e. Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics; or (2) Botany, Zoology and Chemistry (3) B.Sc.(Honours)/(General) in Forensic Science.

ENTRANCE TEST: The entrance test will be held on 21.6.2011 (Saturday) at DELHI only. It will test the candidates for a fair knowledge of English comprehension and General Awareness and Graduate Level knowledge about subject combination as prescribed under eligibility condition for admission . There will be approximately equal weight age for each subject included in the list against the paper of Criminology and Forensic Science. The schedule of the test is as under:

METHOD OF SELECTION: The Institute will prepare a list of candidates in order of merit in each category based on the marks obtained in the Entrance Test. The result of all candidates will be displayed on the notice board of the Institute at 5.00 p.m. on Sunday, the 22nd June, 2011 and also on the website www.nicfs.nic.in of the Institute / www.ipu.ac.in. of the GGSIP University. No separate intimation will be sent to the candidates in this regard. Admission for both the courses will be made in order of merit. The cases of candidates securing equal aggregate marks in the entrance test will be determined on the basis of marks in the entrance test paper of Criminology and Forensic Science as the case may be.

Last date for receiving of completed application form in this Institute is 23rd May, 2011 till 5.00p.m. Incomplete forms will not be entertained.

The National Institute of Criminology & Forensic Science was set up in January 1972 as a comprehensive facility for teaching, training, research and consultancy in the fields of Criminology & Forensic Science to meet the ground level requirements of the Criminal Justice Administration of the country. The Institute functions under the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India as an attached office.
