A computer repair technician is a person who repair and maintain the computer system and servers. The responsibilities of computer technician is depends upon the workplace where he is working. The technician can does many works like installing new hardware, Installation and updating of software’s or doing the maintenance of existing computer systems. A computer technician can also create and maintain computer network. The technician can work in any field where computers are requires, where as it public sector or privet sector or can work individually also. 

This profession is very demanding and large scope is there thus many Institutes and classes are offers the courses regarding computer technician. This courses are mainly classified in two categories namely as Hardware Course (Engineer) and Software course (Engineer). This are certified courses with vary in duration from two months to one year, Depending upon the type of course and on the Institute. Computer repair technician has to work with five main category of computer hardware which is desktop computers, computer clusters, Internet servers, laptops and mobile computing. The repair work is includes the part like keyboards, mouse, displays, speakers, storage devices like hard disks etc. In networking problems technician has to work on routers, fiber optics and on switches.

Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM)

Eligibility:

Eligibility for IITTM admission: Candidates seeking admission to the PGDM programme shall be required to possess a bachelor’s degree (10+2+3 pattern) in any discipline of a University or equivalent thereto. Reservation for SC, ST, OBC (Non-creamy layer) and physically challenged candidates will be applicable as per Govt. of India rules. Physically challenged candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.  Candidates appearing for the final examination are also eligible to apply, provided they complete it by October 31, 2011. In case the candidate fails to establish eligibility by this date, the admission would be cancelled and fees will be forfeited.

Admission process: Admission to the programme shall be through an admission process of 100 points. A weight of 70% shall be for the performance in IITTM Admission Test. Another 15% points each are for Personal Interview (PI) and Group Discussion (GD) respectively. A candidate to be eligible to be considered for admission must participate in all components of the admission process, i.e., Admission test, GD and PI. Merit for admission to the programme shall be determined by the institute. Candidates will exercise choice of programme and study centre during the counselling.

Eligibility:

Minimum qualification for admission to the two years full-time post-graduate management programs at the Institute is three years bachelor’s degree in any discipline recognized by Association of Indian Universities. However preference will be given to Engineering, Economics, Commerce, Management and Computer Science graduates and candidates with relevant work experience.

Candidates appearing for their final year or final semester of their graduate degree examination in academic year 2010- 11 are also eligible to appear for the admission process. IIT JEE, Engineering Entrance Exam, is organized for students aiming to get admission for Undergraduate Engineering Courses in IIT Colleges in India. The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) is conducted by the six Indian Institutes of Technology which is the most prestigious competitive examination organized in India. 

JEE is a joint entrance exam for admission to the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and other premier institutions. The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) is conducted for admission to four year B-Tech / B-Pharma Courses and also five year B-Arch / Integrated M.sc. and M-Tech programs at seven Indian Institute of Technology - Chennai, Delhi, Guwahati, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Mumbai and Roorkee.

Eligibility Criteria for IIT JEE: 

A candidate can attempt JEE only twice, in consecutive years. Candidates who have passed (10+2 or equivalent with aggregate 60% marks - (55% for SC/ST and PD) marks in aggregate in their respective Board Examination are eligible.

Age limit: 

A candidate can take the JEE two times at the most. This has been done mainly to reduce stress. The age limit for appearing in IIT-JEE is 25 years.

Pattern for examination: 

There will be two papers which are divided into three separate sections on Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics. 

Time duration: 3 hours for each paper.

How to Apply for IIT Joint Entrance Examination:

The student can download the application form online  and the payment should be made through credit and debit cards of major banks or through challan of selected banks.The reduced examination fee for on-line mode is Rs. 450/- for SC/ST/PD/female candidates and Rs. 900/- for all other candidates.

For off line applications, one can buy an application form with information brochure from any of the designated branches of banks by paying Rs. 500/ for SC/ST and Female candidates or Rs 1000/ for all other candidates that would contain all relevant information for JEE 2010.
